  • Dr. Khawaja is a recognized leader in governance, financial systems, and digital innovation, with more than 35 years of experience spanning academia, government, international development, and industry. His leadership reflects a unique ability to bridge policy, strategy, and technology including the integration of artificial intelligence 

  • Dr. Khawaja is a recognized leader in governance, financial systems, and digital innovation, with more than 35 years of experience spanning academia, government, international development, and industry. His leadership reflects a unique ability to bridge policy, strategy, and technology including the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools to address complex governance and development challenges. With over 17 years at the World Bank, Dr. Khawaja provided strategic and policy support across sectors such as governance, finance, energy, and information & communication technology (ICT). He played a pivotal role in strengthening institutional capacity and integrating country programs across multiple regions, building resilient systems for long-term impact.  After his tenure at the World Bank, Dr. Khawaja advanced his leadership as a Board Director at the Development Gateway Foundation, where he guided strategy and funding for global e-governance initiatives. His contributions enhanced access to critical information, fostered local capacity building, and leveraged partnerships to drive inclusive, technology-enabled development.  As an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, Dr. Khawaja taught graduate-level courses in information systems and engineering management, mentoring the next generation of leaders.  Dr. Khawaja holds a Doctor of Science from The George Washington University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.

  • Dr. Kreuser has held several positions at the World Bank during the period from 1974-1998 including head of Modeling Support for Finance and Projects and the head of the Quantitative Analysis Consulting Group. He led a project, funded by the World Bank Research Committee, for developing and applying state-of-the-art tools for asset/liabil

  • Dr. Kreuser has held several positions at the World Bank during the period from 1974-1998 including head of Modeling Support for Finance and Projects and the head of the Quantitative Analysis Consulting Group. He led a project, funded by the World Bank Research Committee, for developing and applying state-of-the-art tools for asset/liability management in developing countries for central banks and ministries of finance. He has worked on projects in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and China. He regularly taught workshops on modeling applications in economics and finance and international workshops on risk management for central banks and ministries of finance.  Under a contract with the International Monetary Fund, he provided on-site expertise (advisory, technical, and training) to the Central Bank of Jordan on reserve management, the development of risk management capabilities, and on sovereign risk including optimal reserves management. As an Adjunct Professor, Dr. Kreuser taught graduate courses at the George Washington University and University of Illinois. Dr. Kreuser holds Ph.D. in Mathematical Programming/ Numerical Analysis, Masters in Analysis from the University of Wisconsin.

  • Dr. Hook has 35 years’ experience in banking, finance, and economic development in many countries around the world. He has worked for the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and Federal Reserve Bank of New York providing support for financial sector infrastructure projects and preparing numerous reports on international banking and finance and economic policy. He has also worked on projects by USAID, DFID and the Asian Development Fund. Dr. Hook has an MBA in finance and accounting from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in international economics from New York University. He taught economics in the American University of Afghanistan from 2008-2010 and was director of the Afghanistan Institute of Banking and Finance as well. Most recently, he has been teaching at Central Lakes College in Minnesota.
